Memory Card Care
Memory cards are fairly durable, but as with all electronics accessories, you do need to make sure that you keep them clean and protected if they are going to last long. A scratch in the wrong place on a memory card could make it impossible to access your pictures. Always keep your memory card either in the camera or in the case that it came with to protect it from damage.
When your memory card is in the camera, do not be in a hurry to take it out. Make sure the camera is turned off before you remove the card, so that it is not accessing the memory while you take the card out. When you need to format the card, do it in the camera, not the computer. This will protect the card from damage that could make accessing your files impossible.
